October

Air is cold,
Colder than the freezer,
Wind whistles by,
As I step on the wise concrete,
Leaves slowly falling,
Changing colors,
From ivy green to pumpkin orange,
And lemonade yellow,
The sun slowly starts wearing its mask of the night,
That is the moon,
Quicker than normal,
Costumed crusaders,
Roaming the streets of the night like Batman,
Going door to door,
Raiding people of their candy,
Their delicious and delectable chocolate and butterscotch,
Ringing doorbells and knocking on doors,
As if they were the police investigating a crime scene,
Oh, how I love October,
And its upbringing of fall.
